HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR TATTOO:

1. Remove the bandage within one hour.
2. Wash tattoo with HOT water and soap using only your fingertips.
3. Rinse soap off with HOT water.
4. Rinse with COLD water.
5. Pat tattoo dry with towel (NEVER WIPE IT DRY FOR 2 WEEKS).
6. Let tattoo air dry (approximately 10 minutes).
7. Rub a SMALL amount of either TATTOO GOO, A&D, or BACITRACIN on your tattoo.
8. If using TATTOO GOO, 4 times a day for 7 days, if using A&D or Bacitracin, 4 times a day for 3 days.
9. DO NOT submerge your tattoo under water for 7 days. (NO POOLS, BEACHES, AND BATHTUBS) This could lead to INFECTION. Showering is fine.
10. DO NOT pick or rub off scabs.
11. Keep tattoo OUT of direct sunlight for 2 months.
12. It is YOUR responsibility to take proper care of your tattoo once you leave the shop, NOT the artist.
13. If you neglect to take proper care of your tattoo, there WILL be a charge for touch-up.
14. DO NOT glob on ointment. It will cause bleed out.
15. If any questions arise about your tattoo, call the shop immediately or come in.

PIERCING AFTERCARE TIPS:

1. Do not touch the body piercing or rotate jewelry during the healing period.
2. Do not take it out. Body piercings may take many months to completely heal. Changing or removing jewelry should be avoided during this time.
3. Do not let the body piercing come in contact with another person's bodily fluids.
4. Never use alcohol, hydrogen peroxide or hand soap because they may damage healthy cells and cause scar tissue.
5. Products that contain petroleum are not recommended as it may collect and promote the growth of bacteria.
6. Avoid hot tubs and public pools until the piercing is completely healed.
7. Reduce the intake of alcohol, caffeine and aspirin during the healing period.
8. Avoid alcohol, smoking, chewing tobacco and spicy foods with a new oral piercing.
9. Avoid direct sunlight, tanning beds, oils and lotions.
10. Tight fitting clothes may irritate a new piercing.
11. Practicing good hygiene helps during the healing period.
12. While using H2Ocean's Piercing Aftercare Spray, do not use any other aftercare products.
